As a parent of a student attending Cotati Rohnert Park Unified School District and current board member, my commitment has always been to provide quality educational programs, both academic and vocational, raising academic standards, while maintaining district-wide accountability and fiscal stability.

As a board member for the past 12 years, I've helped implement new education standards that have led to improved student performance. Our schools have been modernized and equipped with the latest technology. We've achieved new career pathways and smaller class sizes. Our award winning programs at both Tech High and Rancho Cotate High are a result of our continued focus on student achievement.

My priorities will continue to be accountability, recruiting and retaining competent teachers and administrators and creating an environment that enhances the ability of all students to reach their full potential.

Appointed two years ago as Governmental Relations Chair for the California School Boards Association, I have advocated in Sacramento and Washington DC on behalf of our students for improvements in funding, standards and education reforms.

My belief has always been that students come first. With your support I will continue to pursue the needed educational reforms that will produce and support the educational goals we all have for our children.
