I am running as "The People's Choice" candidate because my 35 years of community leadership, serving on the Santa Rosa City Council and SRJC Board of Trustees, and involvement in environmentally and socially conscious organizations have provided the impetus to make the important changes that are required in Santa Rosa.

In 1998, you elected me to serve on the Council. With Councilmembers Noreen Evans and Steve Rabinowitsh, and your help, I was able to:

  • Champion open, participative government

  • Fight for preservation of our ridgelines, hilltops and creek corridors

  • Lead the effort for Santa Rosa's first Clean Air ordinance

  • Advocate for more low-cost housing throughout the city.

I am inspired by the difference our new majority can make on the issues we care about. Together, we will make a difference.
