Candidate for
Board Member; Sonoma County Junior College District - Santa Rosa Area

I am a fifth generation resident of Sonoma County. I was born and raised in Santa Rosa. I attended local public schools and graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1967. I graduated and recieved an A.A. degree from SRJC in 1969 and transfered to Chico State College. In 1971 I graduated from Chico with a B.S. in Business Administration.

My wife and I have been married for thirty-eight years and we have two grown children, three grandchildren. I am the president of two local small businesses, Santa Rosa Auto Parts and Power Industries. I have been active in the businesses for over forty years. My father established these businesses in 1946 and 1951 respectively.

I have been active, through the years, with many volunteer organizations such as The 20/30 Club, Rotary, and served on the board of Goodwill Industries. I was also a founder of the Santa Rosa High School Foundation which was established in 1988. For many years I coached youth soccer, Little League and other organized youth sports.

During my sixteen years of service on the SRJC Board of Trustees I have served as President of the Board twice and I'm currently serving as Board President. I have served on the Doyle Scholarship Committee, the SRJC Foundation board, the Board Facilities Committee, I'm the current chairman of the Finance Committee, past chairman of the Bear Cub Athletic Trust and a member of the SRJC Sports Hall of Fame Committee.
