Candidate for
Director; Oceano Community Services District

I believe District Directors should look out for the interests of the residents of Oceano. I have achieved several objectives since you elected me 4 years ago:

• Eliminated District-paid health insurance for Directors
• Eliminated District-paid cell phones for Directors
• Approved a 5-year contract to televise District Board meetings on Channel 21, so residents can stay informed of community business and guard against abuse.
• Provide Spanish-speaking staff to asure optimum service to all our residents.
• Restructure our Fire Department for integrated operation with Grover Beach and Arroyo Grande, improving service while maintaining cost.
• Advocate for Oceano before the Board of Supervisors on subjects such as Arroyo Grande Creek (Zone 1/1A), maintaining County control of a portion of the Oceano Dunes, limiting cost overruns at Lopez Dam (Zone 3), and other issues.
• Improved relations with neighbor communities
