Steve Scheibe, born in Illinois in 1947, has lived in California since 1959. He studied at Willard Jr. High School and Berkeley High. He graduated from Mills High School in 1966.

Steve has traveled extensively in Latin America and lived in both Brazil and Mexico. In Brazil, he worked for the government and taught at local universities. He also co-owned with his wife, Angela, an innovative manufacturing business.

Steve has lived in Encinitas since 1990. He worked in sales and management at the Kent H. Landsberg Co. (AMCOR) and played an important role in developing business in Baja California during his 13 years with the corporation. Steve retired from active sales in 2005 and has since worked with his own international consulting company, All Abroad.

Community colleges contributed significantly to Steve's successful life and he feels this is the right time for giving back by helping MiraCosta return to excellence through good governance.

Steve has been married to Angela Scheibe, an architect for over 35 years. They have two sons, Daniel and Pablo, a daughter-in-law Miriah, a granddaughter, Isla, two cats and two grand-dogs. Daniel works in the bio-tech industry and Pablo is a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Carlsbad.

Steve is state-emeritus soccer referee and can be found running the fields on week-ends.
