Candidate for
Board Member; Valley Center Community Planning Area

The Planning group is non-partisan, and should remain that way. I have supported open, transparent, participatory democracy my entire life. I hope to encourage the Planning Group to engage more citizen participation in the decisions on planning projects in Valley Center that affect our everyday quality of life. I know it is difficult for people trying to work two jobs and raise children to also actively participate in the update of the General Plan for their community. But I urge you to do so, at least until the Board approves the GPU in 2010 (or 2011?). Please elect me, and work with me, to get the best possible plan for the future of Valley Center. We are THE target for development in San Diego County, and need to do everything we can now, to create the plan most protective of our wonderful quality of "country living"!
