Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Dawn Perfect

Candidate for
Board Member; Ramona Unified School District

Sound Fiscal Policy

We need careful management of limited financial resources. The school board is responsible for seeing that dollars are put to best use. Wise business practices must be used in decision making. People are our most valuable asset. Financial resources must be directed toward people and programs that will have the strongest positive impact on the classroom environment. Trustworthy, proper money management with transparent accounting is what Ramona deserves and expects.

Solid Skills

Education is not a one-size-fits-all business. Keeping students interested and engaged in in learning is best done by offering a variety of solid academic programs. As not every student is the same, our school programs must offer a variety of instruction appropriate to reach all students. Innovative programs combined with the best technology keeps education fresh, relevant and prepares students for the future.

Solid academic education offered along with athletics, vocational instruction and the arts help kids develop a love of learning that encourages life-long growth. Our goal should be to teach students the skills they need to be strong, educated adults equipped with the confidence that they have the best education possible.

Strong Connections

Schools work best when there is fully invested participation from everyone. Students, staff and parents are the major components of a strong school system. Students learn best when surrounded by a team of educators both inside the classroom and outside in the real world. The community of Ramona supports our schools and has a wealth of resources to support the education system. This strength needs to be recognized, communicated and encouraged.

Ramona is a quality community with quality education students can be proud of!
