I believe in lowering taxes, fiscal responsibility and limited government and I have a track record to prove it! The #1 priority of any government, whether it be local, state or national is the Public Safety Health and Welfare and I am committed to that.

We have made great strides in our Public Safety. Fire/Ems responses are continuing to improve. During last years wildfires our Fire Department had a 100% call back rate for off duty personnel. Crime is at a all time low and we are the 3rd safest city in the county. As I have always said...personally & professionally...we can do better. What about the Gang problem. I believe there should be a two pronged approach, one long term and one short term. Long term I would call for a summit with Police, school, parents, community groups and church involvement and include understanding of the culture that exists. Short term we need increased Police presence & enforcemt..violence cannot and will not be tolerated!

Besides Public Safety, our number one challenge is our Economic Development. This is such an exciting time for Oceanside. I believe in "Managed Growth'" and preserving Oceanside's past while being open to its future. Creating local jobs, encoraging business to locate here by improving the business environment, including permits and red tape.

Like any municipality there are numerous other important issues, infrastructure, water conservation, roads, sewers and more. Regarding Water conservation, I toured our water purification plant and was very pleased to see how we are drilling our own wells to provide our own water and reduce dependacy on the Water district. Roads , Sewers, and such are essential services that any municipality must provide.
