Vision for IB

The heart of Democracy lies within the individuals who make up the local community. Here we have the greatest opportunity to effect the decisions that influence the quality of our lives.

As your elected representative, I will bring to the City Council, a patient yet determined approach to getting things done. I believe that my persistence and objectivity will best the needs of Imperial Beach. My Vision is one of long term stability and quality of life. My decisions in office will be guided by this Vision. I will bring leadership that will protect and enhance the quality of our lives.

I will work hard to retain our unique beachside small town quality of life. I will strengthen the bonds we now enjoy and represent all of the citizens in Imperial Beach with an open door and an open mind. Through our ongoing conversation and efforts we will bring forward a better Community for the FUTURE CITIZENS of Imperial Beach. Together we can do great things.

I humbly ask for your vote on November 4, 2008, a vote to elect Jim King as your representative to the Imperial Beach City Council. A vote to put a local voice into local government.
