The success of our City depends on transparency of local government, full citizen participation in decision making, and fiscal prudence and accountability.I will continue to involve you in our City's governance to ensure that we work together for a bright future with an incredible quality of life. I will ensure transparent government and increase community involvement, and as your advocate for open government, I will continue to facilitate citizen participation through neighborhood meetings and web-based notification. I am accountable to you and will continue to represent you and your ideas and ensure your involvement in decision making. I will continue to promote a healthy economy by approving only balanced budgets and supporting historic preservation, arts, culture, recreation, a healthy natural environment, and our local businesses. I pledge to retain the 20% budgetary contingency reserve we worked hard to establish and manage our tax dollars prudently. Working together, we can ensure that Encinitas retain it's charm, quality of life, and solid financial footing. Our businesses continue to support our revenue stream and strong sales tax base and our high property values reflect the quality of life residents and visitors alike enjoy. Our vibrant |
