Smart Voter Full Biography for Russ Hall

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Chula Vista; Seat 3

This information is provided by the candidate

For over twenty years, I have had the honor and privilege to serve Chula Vista voters through my civic participation. During this time, I have represented the best interests of all Chula Vista residents, not special interest groups. The training I received is unparalleled. It is now time to take this twenty years of training to the City Council and deliver the kind of leadership that will enable Chula Vista to evolve into a community that will continue to flourish for many years to come.

My family grew up in Chula Vista, and we all graduated from Hilltop High School. After graduating from San Diego State University, I served seventeen years with the State of California as a Business Development Manager and Transportation Analyst. During this time, I was a volunteer youth sports coach in the City for a variety of softball and track and field leagues. Shortly thereafter, I was appointed to the Parks & Recreation Commission, which began my civic commitment on many other Commissions. I also served on the General Plan Update Committee, which completed a document that serves as the City's guide for responsible and prudent planning for the future.

My wife Michelle and I have been long standing members of the First United Methodist Church where we found many friends who share our pride and dedication to the City.
