Candidate for Council Member; City of La Mesa

I will work to attract and keep businesses and look for ways to upgrade aging areas, while retaining the small-town atmosphere of La Mesa.
Dave supports economic development in the City of La Mesa that will improve the quality of life in our community. The residents of La Mesa rely on their Councilmembers to maintain a balance among residential, commercial and industrial uses. Dave is committed to maintaining that balance.

Especially in these challenging economic times, it is important that the City creates an environment that is friendly to business and industry while maintaining a high quality of life for our residents.

Dave will continue to:

  • Ensure that as the City looks at methods to meet the needs of an increasing population, solutions are developed that will retain the character of the La Mesa community
  • Look at ways to attract new businesses that will enhance our community
  • Support activities which increase the customer base for our existing businesses
  • Work with surrounding cities and the County to seek ways to improve the economy of our City and region
  • Work with the County and State to ensure that the City receives its fair share of taxes paid by the residents of the City in order to support high quality City services without increasing fees
