AS YOUR COUNCILMEMBER, SAM HAS CHAMPIONED:

Improved Public Safety: Imposed gang injunctions, fought crime, particularly those committed by illegals, supported Police Check Points for drunk and unlicensed drivers - reducing crime nearly 30% since 2004, gang crime was down 34% last year

Better Image and Appearance: Authored the city Appearance and Compliance Team, arresting and prosecuting around 200 graffiti offenders; supported proactive code enforcement sweeps for healthier neighborhoods

Economic Progress and Fiscal Strength: Created better jobs, improved family median income, controlled spending and supported smaller and efficient government. Sam worked hard to improve our quality of life, making Escondido:

Community Involvement: Sam Abed and his family have lived and owned their own business in Escondido for 21 years. Sam also volunteered on 15 Boards and Commissions
