I have lived in Citrus Heights since 1991, and am married to Ted Costa (father of the Gray Davis recall and state-wide renowned tax fighter). No children, but we have cats, dogs, donkeys, ducks, geese, peacocks, pheasants, doves, quail and chickens.

I am both a practicing veterinarian and a licensed attorney, although not currently practicing law. I have my own small business: a small animal house-call practice -- Acupuncture †Plus, offering acupuncture treatments to small animals as well as traditional Western medicine.

Legal Career Highlights
  • I represented Fair Oaks Citizens Against New Taxes, to present the Park District from levying a property tax assessment without a vote of the people; while the suit was not successful, the litigation indirectly prevented the assessment.
  • I represented People's Advocate in the United State Supreme Court to defend the constitutionality of Proposition 13 when it was challenged.
  • I filed a brief in the United States Supreme Court in support of Congressional Term Limits, passed by the voters of the State of Arkansas.
