Major shortfalls in local healthcare include the underserved City of Desert Hot Springs and growing obesity among our residents.The County of Riverside is breaking ground for an outpatient medical facility in Desert Hot Springs. The District is in a position to assist in the future development of the area. The District has selected obesity as the #1 healthcare crisis among our residents. We will expend the largest single amount of our grant money on this issue over the next two or three years. |
