The Hemet Unified School District has the challenge of meeting the needs of dynamic demographic growth and change in the community, while adhering to budget constraints, State and Federal mandates and the wishes of the community. One immediate problem is the declining financial support from government to school districts. While fewer funds have been allocated, HUSD is still expected to meet government standards while delivering a quality education to a larger and more diversified group of students. Therefore, HUSD must spend its limited financial resources in an efficient and prudent manner and cuts must be kept as far away from the classroom as possible. The classroom must continue be be a safe and secure place for our children, a place that fosters continuous learning and personal and academic growth, a place where highly qualified teachers play an active role in the progression of our students from kindergarten to graduation. We must continue the tradition of excellence which has characterized the Hemet Unified School District for decades.
