Shall the appropriations limit established for Marinwood Community Services District pursuant to Article XIII B of the California Constitution be increased over the appropriations limit established by said article for each of the fiscal years 2008-09 through 2011-12 in the amount equal to the revenue received from the special tax for fire protection services previously approved by the voters in November 2003?

Impartial Analysis from County Counsel
If this measure is approved by a majority of the voters the appropriations limit for the Marinwood Community Services District will be increased for each of the fiscal years 2008-09 through 2011-12 in the amount equal to the revenue received from the special tax for fire protection services previously approved by the voters in November 2003.

Arguments For Measure F
Every four years, the voters of Marinwood Community Services District must pass this measure to authorize the continued use of taxes collected for fire protection and emergency service. Without this voter authorization, not one cent of the taxes collected for these vital services can be spent, even though the voters have approved them. Measure F is not a new tax. It will not increase taxes above the limits approved by the voters of Marinwood Community Services District.

A "YES" vote will last for four years, at the end of which time the spending of fire and emergency service funds must again be authorized. Your Marinwood Community Services District Directors and Fire Commissioners urge you to vote YES on Measure F.
