STATEMENT OF JOHN W.(FRED) LANTZ
CANDIDATE FOR DIRECTOR DIVISION 6 - THREE VALLEYS MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT

I want to continue as your Three Valleys Municipal Water District Board member representing Division 6 and the people the District serves. My education, professional work experiences, accomplishments, and enthusiasm for the water industry provide me with skills for effective Board leadership and collaborative action.

I am a Registered Civil Engineer and hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master of Arts in History from Cal State Fullerton.

I have 37 years of experience with southern California municipal water and power agencies, having formerly served as water system manager of the City of Burbank and City of Riverside.

I have served 8 years as a Board member with the District and presently serve as Board Vice President, Chairman of the Finance/Personnel Committee, and District representative on the Six Basins Watermaster Board. Board governance, staff accountability, fiscal responsibility, and water resource reliability has been improved through my Board activity.

I can help the District continue to meet its challenges with experienced professional judgment. I have been a resident of Pomona since 1970.

Please re-elect an experienced, effective and dedicated Board member, John W. Lantz!
