Development: There are two sides to this important issue

By Michael Kovac

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Santa Monica

This information is provided by the candidate
We can't continue looking at traffic and development separately - we need to look at them as one topic - how Santa Monica lives.
We can't continue looking at traffic and development SEPARATELY - we need to look at them as one topic - how Santa Monica lives. I'm talking about Quality of Life. And the Quality of Life we want means being able to AFFORD to live here - and still WANTING to live here. If too much development means we've created a community where no one wants to live - with too much traffic, crime and pollution - we've failed. If we take extreme measures and limit development to unreasonable levels - so the burden for all city services falls only on our homeowners - and makes Santa Monica affordable to only a select few + we've also failed. We need BALANCE + which means looking at these issues in a cohesive way. I'm Michael Kovac those are my thoughts, please go to WhatSantaMonicaWants.com and let me know yours. Thank you.
