"Why is it that our taxpayer-funded schools are characterized by drug use, teen pregnancies, poor character, religious bias, pedophilia, low test scores, and high drop-out rates?"
Having raised two sons in various public, private, and home school settings, I have concluded that our system of public education needs questioning. Why is it that our taxpayer-funded schools are characterized by drug use, teen pregnancies, poor character, religious bias, pedophilia, low test scores, and high drop-out rates?

The reason cannot be insufficient funds. On average, public schools now spend an outrageous nearly $12,000 per child each year! However, private schools typically operate at about $6,000 per child and education at home is done for about $1,000, both having superior results academically and morally. Therefore, I propose a workable solution to our educational crisis that will lower taxes, raise academic excellence and reclaim our educational freedom. If elected, I will work toward launching a 4 year pilot program to return educational choice to the parents, by phasing out the monopoly of government-controlled education. This will return the fundamental right of training children back to the parents and away from the failed government system. In a free country like America, your children belong to you, not to the state. It's time to return to true diversity and freedom in education.

Remember, the future depends on our children; let's give them the best.
