My political philosophy is influenced by the late Senator Paul Wellstone. It is not enough just to win elections, we must build a movement and win on our issues. I want to work hard to build a progressive movement here in San Diego County. In order to do so, we must build the infrastructure of our party and expand our base. The most effective way is to register voters.

I believe that the Democratic Party should reflect the diversity of its constituents, that is why I want to target registering AAPI (Asian Americans Pacific Islander) voters.

I am also an active animal protection advocate. Many of the young people in this movement are very progressive, but many are not registered Democrats. I would like to work on changing that, by embracing humane causes as a progressive value and make it a part of our platform.
