  • De-politicize the City Attorney's office and base all legal work on the law, not politics or personal agendas
  • Stop wasting millions of dollars on political lawsuits and outside lawyers
  • Evaluate cost/benfit/risk of all lawsuits at outset and set office priority to win lawsuits rather than make political statements.

I have set out 10 commitments to the people of San Diego designed to bring integrity and professionalism to the city attorney's office.
Criminal Coordination Plan
Judge Goldsmith and DA Dumanis have proposed a plan to improve coordination. The DA's office and City Attorney's office share criminal prosecution in the City, but the City Attorney refuses to coordinate. This needs to be corrected.
