Sacramento County is a special place to live and has a quality of life that is second to none. For more than 30 years as a community volunteer, businesswoman, and now as Supervisor, I have worked hard to move our community forward and improve the quality of life we enjoy in Sacramento County.

I've worked to improve county infrastructure, from repaving roads and repairing potholes to beautification projects on Watt and Fulton Avenues. I helped create more open space at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center, and my work with law enforcement has earned me the support of Sheriff John McGinness and District Attorney Jan Scully.

The downturn in the economy requires government to manage its resources efficiently and deliver services effectively. To control spending, I am working to ensure that County departments demonstrate a need exists and funds are available before new projects are approved.

I'm proud of the progress we have made; yet there is more to be done. With your support I look forward to continuing to move Sacramento County forward.
