This information is provided by the candidate

I've been a Democratic activist since my college days at UCLA and UC Berkeley. I received a BA from UC Berkeley and later a master's degree from CSUF. I've taught in Oakland and Malibu in addition to the 31 years with the Lowell Joint School District in Whittier and La Habra. Twenty years were spent working with the learning disabled. While I was teaching, I served in a variety of leadership roles, was on the CTA State Council and was a political action chair for CTA Southeastern.

I became involved with the Democrats of North Orange County (DNOC) when my husband, two children and I first moved to Fullerton in the 1970s. I've walked precincts, done phone banking, helped run North Orange County election headquarters, done voter registration, have been a delegate to California Democratic State Conventions, and am currently the co-president of the Democrats of North Orange County. I've also been their newsletter editor for six years.

As a club leader, I'm proud of the fact that our monthly meetings attract candidates and politically-active members of our communities. Our programs address a wide variety of issues, and frequently leave us with standing room only.

I'm also a legislative chair for Delta Kappa Gamma, an international educators philanthropic organization, a member of AAUW, and enjoy working with the League of Women Voters.

This year, as a member of the California Democratic Council (CDC),I have been attending monthly meetings with presidents of other Democratic clubs in Orange County.

As a member of the Orange County Democratic Central Committee, I will participate in monthly meetings and try to keep North Orange County Democrats informed as to the activities of Democrats in our county and the state.
