As a former Fresno Deputy District Attorney, I have prosecuted many serious and violent cases, was among the first to prosecute a Drunk Driver for Second Degree Murder and believe strongly in the Three Strikes law. My over twenty years of experience as a prosecutor, private attorney and business owner, gives me the knowledge and skills that enable me to be a fair, balanced and tough Judge.

I graduated from the San Joaquin College of Law, and admitted to the California State Bar in 1988. I have an exemplary record and received no disciplinary actions from the California State Bar. My broad experience gives me an exclusive perspective that separates me far and above my opponents. I have handled many cases in the Superior Courts of Fresno, Madera, Kings, Kern, Merced and Mariposa Counties, as well as the United States District Court. I believe my experience will greatly benefit the citizens and Courts of Fresno County.

I am a former commercial pilot and no stranger to making critical life and death decisions. My wife Sonia and I have two grown children and one grandson. I believe that family is the strength of our community.
