California's 12th congressional district special election, 2008 will take place on April 8, 2008 and June 3, 2008. April 8 will be the date of the an open primary; if no candidate wins a majority of the votes, one candidate from each represented political party will run on June 3. California's 12th congressional district was vacated following the death of Tom Lantos on February 11, 2008.
