14 Year Term. Salary: $136,700

The NYS Supreme Court has general and original jurisdiction over all civil and criminal cases. It has the authority to dissolve marriages and to issue injunctions restraining the conduct of individuals and groups. Retirement is mandatory at age 70. However, if the business of the court requires, a judge may serve up to six additional years if certified as physically and mentally fit.
