1. Please make a statement addressing what makes you the best candidate for this office.

Answer from Evelyn Frazee:

I believe that the depth of my professional experience and personal qualifications make me the best candidate. I have had the responsibility of handling thousands of cases during my time in Supreme Court, and am the only candidate with 26 years experience in Supreme Court + 14 years as Supreme Court Justice, and 12 years as counsel to a Supreme Court Justice. I have worked hard to prepare my cases, fairly apply the law, and treat people with dignity and respect. I am proactive in efforts to reduce litigation costs and delay. In addition to my regular duties, I am committed to improving the administration of justice and have devoted much of my personal time to education programs and initiatives to effect positive change. I would respectfully submit that perhaps the best evaluation of my work and approval of my efforts is seen in the ratings by the Monroe County Bar Association (MCBA) and Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys (GRAWA). I am the only Supreme Court candidate to receive the highest ratings from both Bar Associations. Approximately 440 attorneys (minimum required response is 50) responded to the MCBA poll and rated my performance as a jurist in the 96th to 99th percentile in the 13 areas of review. I have an in-depth knowledge of both the procedural and substantive aspects of the court as well as the sensitivity to understand the issues that are presented to the court. I truly enjoy the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to help people resolve their legal problems.
