Education and Qualifications:

For the past ten years, I have worked as a physician in private practice in San Francisco, specializing in infectious diseases. The experience of caring for the most vulnerable people in society has given me first hand knowledge of the most pressing needs of our health care system. I know the factors that have resulted in our system being the most expensive in the world, yet having left so many behind. Currently, our health care is in the hands of attorneys and career politicians in Sacramento. I will change that.

I was born and raised in Marin County and have spent my adult life working on local issues and supporting candidates that share my views and goals. My experience on our local taxpayers' group will enable me to be a watchdog against the corporate and government excesses that make life difficult for working people.

In addition to working on health care issues, my priorities include balancing the budget without raising taxes, protecting California's environment and agriculture, curbing Indian gaming, accountability in education, reforming the state employees' pension system and prison system. I will see to it that our tax dollars are spent wisely. I would appreciate your support.
