Conservation is Conservative!

1. It is cheaper not to make a mess than to clean it up.

2. Urban sprawl costs more in services than the increase in tax base.
3. Treating environment-related illnesses is expensive.
4. The consequences of global warming are expensive.

Environmental Platform:

1. Severe penalties for polluters
2. Increase $$$ to purchase land in critical habitat areas
3. Increase $$$ to purchase development rights to farmland on urban edges
4. No offshore oil drilling on California Coast
5. Plant 3 Million new trees a year
6. Reduce production of greenhouse gases
7. Incentives to convert to organic farming
8. Ban clear cutting in forests
9. Increase fuel efficiency standards
10. Oppose desalination projects
