Candidate for
Board Member, 4 Year; Sweetwater Springs Water District

I am running for the Sweetwater Springs Water Agency Board as a business owner and as a home owner.

I have lived in Guerneville and have been using water provided by Sweetwater Springs for 11 years. I am aware of the infrastructure challenges that face the Agency and I want to help.

As a board member I have two goals. One is to encourage water conservation in the area. Prior to moving to Guerneville 11 years ago, I had visited the area frequently since the early 1980's staying in my aunt's cabin. The cabin was on well water without a holding tank and required extreme water conservation measures during the late summer months. Conservation on a public water system is equally important in an effort to continue providing the necessary services and maintain costs.

I am also committed to ensuring that water rates are applied equitably. Rates should be based reasonably and fairly.
