Community Outreach

By Robert Giffin

Candidate for Board Member; Wright School District

This information is provided by the candidate
The role of schools must expand to invite participation from and offer services to the community.
It is important to the community as a whole and to the children in particular that parents of current students and those without children or whose children have moved on be involved with the educational process. They have valuable knowledge and talents that can improve the quality of life of all who reside in the school district. They should be invited and urged to participate in the process.

The facilities of the district should be put to broader use by opening them up to the community for meetings and classes that benefit more than just the student population. Programs of interest should be offered on a regular basis.
