As a resident of Rincon Valley for over 35 years I have spent many years following and participating in Rincon Valley Union School District issues, both as the parent and volunteer. I believe I will bring to the school board a unique blend of experience and financial knowledge, which will bring innovative ideas to our district.

I have served the people of Sonoma County as a public official for over 27 years, and the last 8 years as the elected Treasurer/Tax Collector. As part of this responsibility, I have provided investments and financial services to all school districts in our County. This job experience has given me tremendous insight into the overall education process.

I believe education is the foundation of our children's future, and RVUSD has done a excellent job of preparing our students for the challenges facing them in today modern world.

My wife, Marcella, and I have raised four children in this valley, all of whom has attended and graduated from RVUSD schools. I have been active in youth baseball and Boy Scouts, as well as other community organizations.

Thank you for considering my candidacy for the Rincon Valley Union School District Board, and I ask for your support on November 7, 2006.
