Candidate for
Board Member, 4 Year; West Sonoma County Union High School District

I graduated from Cal Berkeley in 1972 with a B.A. in political science and subsequently worked in banking in San Francisco. Since 1978 I have owned and operated, along with my husband Stan, an apple and cut flower farm in Sebastopol. I have served as a board member and president of the Santa Rosa Farmers Market, co-chair of the Gravenstein Apple Fair, board member of the Downtown Santa Rosa Thursday Night Market and the San Francisco Civic Center Market, faithful Sebastopol Sea Serpent mother, and steering committee member of the Blue &White Ball. Our three children attended our local public schools, two graduating from Analy High School and now studying in public colleges. Our youngest is presently attending Analy as a junior.

I am proud of our school district and want to maintain and develop its excellence. I am seeking a school board position to assist our district in building public support for its policies and to aid the public in demanding quality education for our students. I want to help set educational goals that will allow our students to advance into our complicated world as citizen leaders.
