Smart Voter Official Statement for Amie Breeze

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Rohnert Park

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

I'm running for re-election because I care about our community and the citizens who live here. As a 21 year resident, I'm proud of the community where I work, have gone to school, and am raising my daughter.

I've provided new insights on council issues by offering my experience as a community leader, fomer firefighter, and parent. Safety is a #1 priority for me. As your councilwoman, I've supported our Public Safety officers to reduce crime by 30%. I support a growth rate of 1%, implementing Smart Growth Principles. I supported the widening of HWY 101 to alleviate traffic, Mobile Home Parks to protect our affordable housing, Golf Course renovations, and our new Dog Park.

I've taken a tough stand on difficult issues in our city. As your councilwoman, I did not vote to support a casino outside our city. I supported the tribe's offer of $200,000,000 over 20 years to mitigate the impacts caused by its location. Some of these funds have already been used to reduce crime and rescue school sports programs so we can continue to enjoy a great quality of life here in Rohnert Park.

I respectfully ask for your vote. Thank you.
