I believe in the democratic process. I favor a lot of debate on both sides of an issue and strive to be fair and balanced. The proper exchange of factual information leads to informed decisions and this is critically important to those in public office as their decisions affect our lives. I believe in strong practical environmental protections and sustainable developement that focuses on green building principles. I also believe strongly in social equality and workers rights. I believe in health care reform and favor a single payer system. I believe in campaign finance reform and removing the influence of private donations from the political process. I believe that our elected officials should be honest and accountable to "we the people". I believe that it is possible for all of us to live in peace and prosparity while doing our very best to live in harmony with nature and our planet. I will bring these values and ideas to the board if elected.
