Biographical Highlights
  • Occupation: Lawyer, with Maritime and Tidelands Law experience
  • Honored to serve as Port San Luis Harbor Commissioner 1979 to 1989. Elected Commission President.
  • As Commissioner, helped acquire Point San Luis Lighthouse for public use, recreation and enjoyment. Supported startup of Salmon Enhancement Program.
  • As Commissioner, stopped Off-shore Oil Drilling Companies' takeover of Avila for a Crew & Industrial Supply Base. Raised Union Oil Pier rent 1125%.
  • Balanced Harbor Budget, increased Harbor Revenues and CUT property taxes. Improved Beach & Pier maintenance.
  • I learned as a boy biking to Avila to swim, fish, and to hike to the Point San Luis Lighthouse how important our Harbor is to our community.
  • Diane Jenkins and I raised our three wonderful daughters here. Son of Starr and Stella Jenkins. Cal Poly & San Luis Obispo High School Graduate.
Top Priorities if Elected
  • To open the Point San Luis Lighthouse for full Public Access. To open a long closed Camping Area for full Public Access.
  • To Protect our Coast from Off-Shore Oil Drilling.
  • To Restore Fisheries and Commercial & Recreational Fishing.
