  • We should have better schools in Encinitas--comparable to the best in the state.
  • Better locally-trained teachers: excellent teachers generate capable, successful students.
  • Will strongly support more choices for district parents: more GATE/Gifted programs, Charter schools, Magnet schools.

The present school board is complacent with our schools' scores feeling they are "good enough". However, when we compare to other schools with similar demographics, we're not where we should be.
