Candidate for Board Member; Del Mar Union School District

Closing Remarks:

Thanks to the League of Women Voters and the PTAs for making this evening possible. A special thanks to all the participants in the audience. Your willingness to ask questions and listen to other people express their viewpoint is critical. I ask you to continue your participation on school board issues and to make your voices heard. Your future Board is accountable to you and your children.

This is a role I take seriously and should. Your Board has the ultimate responsibility and approval of the policies that determine the direction of our school district.

To meet this obligation is not a radical shift, it is not reform, it is raising the bar on what is expected of the Board and the people that help prepare the information for decisions made by the Board. It is Leadership. It is what Katherine, Annette and I believe in and why we are asking you to vote for all three of us.

Your vote on November 7th is an important choice. You can choose to create a school board that will work with you and for you. One that believes more is possible. You can choose a school board that will have the fiscal experience to lead the district into the future. A board focused on developing and providing excellence in educational programs. A elected school board that will provide Leadership for a Change.

Thank you for your consideration and the chance to earn your vote.
