ANDY HOLLINGWORTH SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR FORMER EDUCATION ADVISOR TO CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE

ENDORSED BY SAN DIEGO UNION TRIBUNE, SAN DIEGO COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY, COMMUNITY COLLEGE TRUSTEES, CITY COUNCILMEN, PARENTS AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS including Rick Alexander and Jean Roesch, Community College Trustees; and Ernie Ewin, City Councilman.

ANDY HOLLINGWORTH is a native Californian and long time San Diegan who is running as THE TAXPAYERS' ADVOCATE to ensure our students receive a quality community college education and quality facilities within which to learn.

ANDY HOLLINGWORTH HAS A TWENTY-FIVE YEAR RECORD OF COMMUNITY SERVICE as Senior Project Manager of the largest school construction program in California.... Education Advisor to the California Legislature for community college and K-12 education and school construction....Director and Chief Financial Officer + International Visitors Council of San Diego....Vice President of Morgan Hollingworth Association Management....M.B.A + Anderson School of Management -UCLA.

WHY DOES THE DISTRICT NEED NEW PROPERTY TAXES FROM DISTRICT TAXPAYERS?

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION ONLY PROVIDED TAXPAYERS HALF THE FACILITIES PROMISED FROM A 2002 $685 MILLION BOND MEASURE PAID FOR BY INCREASING YOUR PROPERTY TAXES. THE PROGRAM IS NOW OUT OF MONEY AND THE CURRENT BOARD IS ASKING FOR $870 MILLION MORE TO FINISH THE WORK.

Paying for education is tough enough on homeowner's budgets. The district should establish and monitor their budgets and live within their means the same way all of us do, without asking you for more taxes.

VOTE FOR AN EXPERIENCED PROBLEM SOLVER:

Hollingworth turned around a troubled $5 billion school construction program at the Los Angeles Unified School District. His skill with school budgets has also allowed schools to put computers in classrooms, fix lighting, increase landscaping, install fire alarms, paint classrooms, renovate buildings, secure state fund matching and cut through bureaucracy to create quality learning environments.

Hollingworth secured passage of legislation to prevent overbuilding, overcrowding and traffic congestion in San Diego neighborhoods

ANDY HOLLINGWORTH WILL:

PERSONALLY INSTITUTE EFFECTIVE BOND PROGRAM OVERSIGHT AND CONTROLS TO PROVIDE TAXPAYERS THE SCHOOL FACILITIES PROMISED ON TIME AND WITHIN BUDGET.

REDIRECT TAX DOLLARS AWAY FROM THE CENTRAL DISTRICT BUREAUCRACY TO THE CLASSROOM TO IMPROVE INSTRUCTIONAL QUALITY AND TEACHER SALARIES.

FIGHT THE ASSESSMENT OF NEW FEES ON DISTRICT STUDENTS.

If another San Diego Community College bond is passed on November 7th, make sure your property tax dollars are protected by someone who will ensure the facilities are built on time and within budget.

VOTE ANDY HOLLINGWORTH THE TAXPAYERS' ADVOCATE FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOARD
