Statement of T. N. Ho

By T. N. Ho

Candidate for Member; Santa Clara County Board of Education; Trustee Area 2

This information is provided by the candidate
As your representative on the Santa Clara County Board of Education during the last four years, I am proud to have served in an honest and objective manner, and have achieved the following on your behalf:

-- Expanded teacher recruitment effort throughout Santa Clara County by coordinating on-line web page based recruitment and centralized job fairs.
-- Emphasized higher instructional standards, better teacher training and stronger professional development.
-- Advocated for the use of technology in public education.
-- Reduced overhead costs and allocated more money for direct use in the classrooms to prepare our children to face the challenges of the 21st century.

The County Office of Education is now a more efficient and user-friendly education services organization. However, it still needs strengthening in the following areas:
-- The financial audit ability of the County Office of Education over local district budgets and finances, including the proper use of voter-approved bond money.
-- The quality of education for students of all academic levels.
-- The accountability requirements for school administrators and teachers.

I need your continued trust and support to ensure that these objectives are accomplished. Thank you for your trust and please vote for T. N. Ho on November 7.
