Parks make our lives fuller. They provide an important element in what makes us come together as a people. They stand as a quality of life element. They provide us with the time and place to do those things that bring people and families together. They give us inner peace and the space to do it "our own way". They keep us in touch with nature and the beauty that surrounds us.Orangevale has been my home for more than 32 years. We,and you that now call Orangevale home realize just how special our home is. I chose to protect the open spaces and create parks where horse owners could once again ride. In doing that, we also found ways and methods not used by other jurisdictions to protect zoning that helped develop the kind of parks that all that live here can use.The 18 Hole Championship Disc Golf Course is next to a 23 acre nature area separted by a stream. Our equestrian center is next to our 6 acre open venue stage area used for Pow Wow Days and near our soccer fields.Our Community Center and pool area is the envy of many communities. And we have open space natural parks throughout our community. ORANGEVALE IS OUR HOME. Thank you. Manie Meraz. |
