District has moved from good to great in terms of student performance, curriculum & technology
The District's Academic Performance Index statewide accountability system continues to show exceptional growth.

21 of our 31 schools have scored between 700 & 800 on standardized tests

Out of over 1600 students taking the California High SAchool Exit Exam in 2005 only 8 students failed to pass. (A truely remarkable achievment)

Over 400 Community and school staff participated in the development of the 2005/2010 Strategic Plan, which will guide all student programs.

District model programs include; preschools, English Language Learners, Student Welliness, Alternative Schools (Middle College and Early College HIgh Schools), Project Ask for students at risks and Dedicated Elementaty Science facilities & staffing. Our Jade program is assisting students with drug and alcohol abuse.
