I was born in Los Angeles July of 1962. After my father died of cancer, my mom moved my brothers and I to the city of Alhambra in the San Gabriel Valley. I have many cherished childhood memories growing up in a small town.

During my 1980 senior year at Alhambra High School, I enlisted in the Marine Corps under the delayed entry program. I went to boot camp several months after high school graduation. The Marine Corps was a changing point in my life. It was all about God, Corps, Service, and Country. I learned many values that gave me a foundation in life. During my tour with Marine helicopter aviation, I visited several foreign countries and developed an appreciation of my American way of life.

After my honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, I worked as a helicopter mechanic, went back to school, and later was hired as a Quality Assurance Representative for a defense contracting agency. I also joined the Army National Guard after my separation from the Marines. After earning my degree in business administration, I transferred into government contracting. I take pride in my career as a Contract Administrator managing contracts that support our Armed Forces.

I've been living in Cypress since 1991 and enjoy its' citizens, schools, city events, our exceptional police department, and just the quality of life we have.

Since 1985, I have been a proud Citizen Soldier serving at the Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos (JFTB), this is my part-time career supporting the aviation element at the JFTB. My membership in the Army National Guard has been the means where I have excelled in my leadership positions. I oversee a company of Soldiers and have oversight over government property. I have given of myself in so many ways such as frequently volunteering, trying to improve morale, organize training and family support events, fundraise, account for taxpayer's property, and basically trying to make a better Army National Guard. Basically, service to those around me has been a way of life.

On September 11, 2004, my military unit was activated in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and I spent about 14 months away from home. It was during this deployment that my appreciation deepend of my family, my city, and our American way of life.

The opportunity has presented itself to serve beyond the military and now with the citizens in my community. Therefore, I'm seeking a city council seat with the intention of applying my military attributes of, but not limited to, duty, integrity, honor, and trying to improve our city quality of life.
