This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation:
Business Owner/Secretary

Education and Qualifications:
Soon after my secretarial/computer services business opened in April, 2004, I was contracted to provide administrative assistance to the Marin Healthcare District Board. Over a period of 15 months, I became very familiar with the District's and Marin General Hospital's business, operations, legal requirements and the many complicated reports that the District and/or hospital generates and reviews.

For over two years now, I have attended almost every Board meeting, read thousands of pages of reports and heard hundreds of viewpoints re: the hospital's future. I understand the complexities. I am a graduate of U.C. Berkeley. I am detail-oriented, hard-working, dedicated, good at problem-solving and results-oriented.

As a member of the Board, I would ensure there was careful oversight of all the District's business and financial expenditures. I would help the Board find and retain consultants, auditors, staff and legal counsel who have no conflicts of interest, are willing to be accountable, and willing to address public concerns openly. I strongly support public participation, the public's rights under the Brown Act and open decision making.

I will advocate Board actions that empower Marin General to be a viable, safe, profitable, publicly-owned and controlled, community hospital.
