Smart Voter Official Statement for Jonathan Leone

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Sausalito

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation:
Consultant--Strategy/Finance

Education and Qualifications:
MBA: Dartmouth; BA: Yale; BS Certificate Environmental Studies: Dartmouth

Sausalito's natural beauty, diversity of citizens, village character and sense of history make our City unique. It's a place where people create works of art, build wooden boats and walk out of their doors into a national park. Sausalito enjoys world class living with small town charm. I want to keep it that way.

In my 6 years working on the Sausalito Planning Commission, I have fought for stronger environmental protection, limited over-development, preserved historic structures and promoted resident friendly businesses.

Serving on the Planning and Waste & Recycling Commissions, I have the experience and qualifications to excel on the City Council. I will be fair, open and willing to stand up for Sausalito's long-term interests.

As your Council Member, I will act to: Improve our City's disaster preparedness; Encourage transparency in Council decisions; Retain Marinship's marine heritage; Enlarge Dunphy Park; Provide services and programs to keep families in Sausalito.

Having worked for Fortune 500 companies and running my own ventures, I understand government's responsibility to balance the needs of the business community with the quality of life of Sausalito citizens.

I ask for your vote.
