Smart Voter Full Biography for Bonnie Neely

Candidate for
Supervisor; County of Humboldt; District 4

This information is provided by the candidate

Dear Friends,

Eureka is my hometown. I grew up in the 4th District, graduated from Eureka High School and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Humboldt State University.

My family owned and operated a business here for more than 44 years. My parents taught me the value of determination and community service.

During my tenure as your County Supervisor, I've learned that government is not static. Change is part of the process, and it takes experienced, knowledgeable leadership to implement change when it's needed.

I'm proud of the many accomplishments we have achieved together to strengthen our local economy, invest in our vital infrastructure and preserve our natural environment. While much has been accomplished, much remains to be done. My priorities include affordable housing, the creation of living wage jobs, protecting our natural resources and implementing smart growth to ensure that inevitable growth does not come at the expense of our outstanding quality of life here on the North Coast.

I would like to thank the people of Humboldt County for choosing me as their 4th District Supervisor for the past 20 years. I promise to continue to work hard, to listen, and most importantly, respect the people whom I am so proud to serve.

Please join us in our campaign and help me continue to work on behalf of our county's future.

Sincerely, Bonnie Neely
