20 years of failed policies in the 4th District has produced an economic down spiral in Humboldt County
Hi, My name is Nancy Flemming and I am running for 4th District Supervisor and I am asking for your vote. I have walked your precincts and visited with thousands of you. I have gone door to door, working to meet every voter. You have read the headlines; you understand the urgency! 20 years of failed policies have created a jobs crisis; a housing crisis; a hospital crisis; and a crime and drugs crisis.

  • Did you know that the 4th District poverty rate is higher than the National average, the State average, and continuing to climb?
  • Did you know that 89% of people in Humboldt County cannot afford to purchase a home?
  • Did you know the median income in Humboldt County has only risen 14% while our housing prices have risen over 260%?
  • Did you know less than 30% of emergency room patients in 2005 had medical insurance coverage?

We cannot afford to continue along this path. These are very real issues that affect our daily lives, regardless of party affiliation or economic bracket. Our future is in your hands. I believe that with your help and your vote, we can do better!

If our young families cannot afford to live and work here, we lose our future. There is no excuse! The 4th District has every asset needed to achieve economic prosperity. With positive, progressive programs, we can turn this dire situation around!

We need a change in leadership now. My opponent has had over 20 years to make a difference, and it is not working for us!

I am asking for your help and your vote to begin the hard work ahead because it truly is time for a change for the better!
