BACKGROUND · Born and raised in California. Descended from long line of Veterans including Civil War General and WWII 5 Star General. · Married 53 yrs to Patricia, 2 children, Lynn & Gary both Airforce Veterans, 2 grandchildren, Eric & George, both currently serving in the US Army. · 30 year resident of Fresno County and active in most all community veteran organizations. · Was a Veterans Employment Representative with the State Employment Development Department for 18 years and gained knowledge of almost every employment program and employer in the County. · Have been a candidate for City Council and School Board. Served on the Roosevelt Planning Commission and Mayor's Committee for Employment of the Handicapped. · I was listed in "Who's Who in California in 1987," and have extensive skill and knowledge in leadership, public speaking, public relations, business, personnel administration, education, and management, as well as being a decorated retired Naval Officer and combat pilot.
