Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Michael David Hendren

Candidate for
City Council Member; City of Placerville

This information is provided by the candidate

Government Accountability

I believe in a government accountable to its citizens. The current council seems to have lost sight of this, with some of the council members trying to further their own personal agendas. I will take an open communication approach, taking input from all constituents of the city.

Economic Development

I am a strong supporter of sensible, well thought out growth policies that promote a healthy local business climate, but do not detract from our family friendly lifestyle. Such policies help support the community with additional tax revenue which helps to fund, a well trained police department, properly maintain our roads and infrastructure, and add new recreation and parks to the city.

Infrastructure Solutions and Efficiency

There are many issues facing our city. Infrastructure problems such as the city's sewer treatment plant, congested traffic, and solid business growth. I feel there can be a balance of all these issues if all sides felt they had a voice on the council. Having been employed in the private and public sectors for many years, I feel I am well qualified to tackle these issues with fair evaluations.
